Competitive Intelligence Manager - NA

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be the undisputed expert on competitive matchup of our products and services
  • Act as the "messenger of the competition" from the outside-in to the rest of the organization
  • Always stay abreast of the very latest competitive product releases
  • Regularly support sales by providing customer-oriented, winning competitive arguments.
  • Conceive and promote competitive strategies for our products
  • Create and maintain processes to assess competitors
  • Create a process for real-time competitive announcements (product launches, wins, press releases, partnerships, M&A, etc)
  • Develop and perfect methods of capturing and communicating competitive performance
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders such as product marketing on the creation of competitive positioning for all UR products and services

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Assist in product messaging and positioning that engages and converts prospective customers
  • Assist in the development of compelling sales enablement assets that accelerate the deal cycle
  • Assist in the develop and delivery of sales content and training (e.g. decks, playbooks, videos, battle cards, etc) to enable sales teams throughout the buying process
  • Identify friction points in the buying process and work with stakeholders to fix
  • Support demand generation and content development teams with product content

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or marketing
  • 3+ years of technical support, pre-sales support, product marketing or product management experience
  • Skilled at performing competitive performance assessments of hardware, software and SaaS offerings
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven capabilities interpreting data and qualitative research and distilling into actionable key takeaways
  • Strong critical thinking, strong problem-solving and research proficiencies
  • The ability to comprehending and interpreting competitor strategies and prospect behavior
  • Experience in gathering large amounts of data and converting it into meaningful insights with impact
  • A collaborative approach to work and a deep sense of team
  • Must be a strong writer and public speaker in front of senior management and large groups
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise analytics such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Domo or Sisense
