Product Tour & Demos

  • Classic Analytics

A demonstration of the classic analytics capabilities in the bioXL application. The demonstration covers drilling, slicing and dicing; filtering, sorting, pivoting and expand and collapse functions. It also shows how to use the element trees to make more advanced query selections.

  • Geospatial Mapping

A demonstration of the Geospatial Mapping capabilities in the bioXL analytic application. The demonstration covers drilling, slicing and dicing of geospatial data in an OLAP cube from the highest level (country) to a lowest level (street level address).

  • Multi & Combo Charting

A demonstration of the advanced charting capabilities in the bioXL analytic application. The demonstration covers the conversion of a singular chart on a multi-dimensional query into a smart multi-chart with a dual axis, combination chart for 2 disparate measures.

  • Data mash-ups & PowerPivot Integration

A demonstration of to take raw data as a business analyst, build a quick PowerPivot data model and upload it to Pyramid and SQL Server. From Pyramid, instantly begin analyzing your data model with full-blown analytic tools and build interactive dashboards that can be shared across the enterprise on the spot. Self-service BI to Enterprise BI in a few clicks!

  • Custom Calculations

A demonstration of the various custom calculation options in the bioXL analytic application, covering: basic custom measures/members and custom sets; the list importation wizard for building large custom element definitions; and, the all-powerful “Advanced Set Designer”, for building sophisticated, multi-step set scripts.

  • Parameters

A demonstration of the patent-pending parameterization functionality in the Pyramid Analytics Suite. The video demonstrates how to create parameters in bioXL and shows examples of its many uses. It then continues on to show how parameters can be used with dashboard interactions in bioPoint.

  • List Importer

A demonstration of the custom list importer works. The list importer allows users to import large lists of items from text files and use its values to create large custom members or custom sets based on the items found in the list.

  • Cascading Prompts / Slicers

A demonstration of cascading slicers or prompts. The demonstration covers how to create slicers that cascade or water fall from one selection to the next without writing any code or use of software development kits.

  • Designing Dashboards

A demonstration of how to build and design dashboards in the bioPoint application. The demonstration covers slide layout, content addition and theme formatting. It also shows how the dashboard operates when launched into "runtime," highlighting: interactions, zooming, drill down and the cross-analytic capabilities between bioPoint and bioXL.

  • Dashboards Interactions

A demonstration of implementing interactivity between different queries within a slide and across slides in the bioPoint application. The video demonstrates how to literally draw in parameterized inputs from one query panel to another. It also shows global slicers that allow users to make runtime settings that propagate throughout the dashboard.

  • Web Panels & Third Party Content

A demonstration of web panels that allow designers to include independent web content side-by-side with analytics. The video shows how to create interactions between analytic content and web panels delivering seamless interactivity for users. Examples include independent web sites as well as interactivity with relational data in Sql Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.

  • Interactive Content

A demonstration of how designers can create dynamic content based on user interactions. The video shows how to create dynamic text and button content that changes in the runtime and includes interactivity with relational data in Sql Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.

  • Conditional Display

A demonstration of how to show, hide or change dashboard content based on user interactivity. The video demonstrates how to create triggers that change analytic content and/or slicers on a slide canvas using the conditional display functions of interactions.

  • SharePoint Integration & Embedding

A demonstration of how to use the new Pyramid WebPart for SharePoint 2010 – allowing users to integrate Pyramid inside a SharePoint page or dashboard with PerformancePoint. The video also demonstrates how to embed Pyramid content inside a desktop application and a custom web application with custom tabs and links.

  • Missing Data Wizard

A demonstration of the Missing Data Wizard ("MDW"). The MDW is a tool that is used to correct reports to work against changed cube datasources. The video demonstrates how the MDW handles changing cube dimensions, hierarchies, levels, members, named sets and custom MDX elements.

  • Formatting

A demonstration of implementing interactivity between different queries within a slide and across slides in the bioPoint application. The video demonstrates how to literally draw in parameterized inputs from one query panel to another. It also shows global slicers that allow users to make runtime settings that propagate throughout the dashboard.
